Take the Fear Out of Visiting the Dentist

Dental anxiety looks different for everyone. You may just feel a mild nervousness before appointments. Or you may avoid care altogether because of fear, past trauma, or sensory issues. At Insight Dental, we don't just recognize those feelings. Our team works intentionally to change how you experience dentistry.

With our relaxed vibe and a genuine focus on building trust, we make it easier to take that first step. You'll benefit from:

  • Our Laid-Back Environment - From the moment you walk in, you'll notice a different energy. Our office has a relaxed, down-to-earth feel designed to put you at ease. We break the stereotype of cold, clinical dentistry.
  • Oral Sedation - If you feel especially anxious, we have oral sedation. You take the prescription medication before your appointment. You arrive calm and less aware of the sights, sounds, or sensations around you.
  • Non-Judgmental Conversations - We're here to listen, not lecture. If you've been avoiding the dentist for years or feel embarrassed about your oral health, we'll meet you with kindness, honesty, and zero shame.
  • Gentle Communication - We walk you through every step before we begin. Your dentist will use simple language and have clear expectations. This helps reduce the fear of the unknown. You have a greater sense of control.
  • Comfort-First Approach - From numbing techniques to how we pace each visit, everything we do is with your comfort in mind. We check in often and make adjustments as needed. We'll make you feel safe and supported.

Read Why Our Patients Love Us

Jennifer was fantastic today. I had been neglectful with my dental hygiene. She had a lot of plaque to remove and she got it with a professional and gentle touch. Jennifer also took time to educate me on my future habits. Thanks Insight Dental!

From the receptionist at the front, Chloe, she’s always so patient with me to answer my insurance questions and get everybody scheduled. We absolutely love the dental hygienist and assistants- Jamie and Quitta are so fun and so patient with my kids. They’re very kind, friendly and professional. Dr. Johnson and Dr. Sheets are so kind, so professional and knowledgeable. We came from traumatic experiences at a prior dentist and they have been so good with each of my kids. I love that Dr. Johnson is airway focused, and supports expansion of the pallet and not just going straight to braces. We don’t use fluoride and they are supportive and never hassle us about it. Jamie the hygienist has even ordered us special toothpaste and polish without fluoride. I have four kids, three of them with Invisalign and we’ve had great success. My two-year-old was just seen today for his first happy gentle cleaning visit and the hygienist, Lasagna could not have been more perfect with him! Truly this is been the best dental experiences we have had over the last two years.

Hands down, the best customer service and expeditious appointments. I never wait. Jennifer did a great job on my cleaning. She was very knowledgeable of the trade and made suggestions for me to dry bush. Who would have ever thought but it makes since and should help between my cleanings.

Common Questions About Relieving Dental Anxiety

Is dental anxiety really that common?

Yes! Dental anxiety affects millions of people. It doesn't mean you're weak or irrational. Some patients feel uneasy before treatment, while others avoid care for years. We understand that anxiety can stem from past experiences, sensory sensitivities, or even just fear of the unknown. That's why we offer solutions designed to meet you where you are, without judgment or pressure.

How does oral sedation work?

Oral sedation involves taking a small, prescription pill before your appointment. It helps you feel calm, drowsy, and less aware of sounds or sensations during treatment. You'll remain awake and able to respond, but your nerves and tension will feel significantly reduced. Because it can affect alertness, you'll need a trusted adult to drive you home after your visit.

Can I talk to someone first before committing to treatment?

Absolutely. If you're not ready for an exam right away, we're happy to schedule a consultation or meet-and-greet first. This gives you a chance to get to know the team, ask questions, and build comfort before any care begins. There's no pressure. We move at your pace.
