Replace Your Tooth After the Extraction

Once a tooth is removed, it's important to replace it. It's not just for your appearance, but to protect your bite, prevent shifting, and maintain oral function. We'll help you choose the best option based on your goals, budget, and long-term plan. We may recommend:

  • Dental Bridges - A dental bridge replaces one or more missing teeth using crowns that attach to the teeth on either side of the gap. It restores your bite and prevents nearby teeth from drifting out of place.
  • Implant Crown - For single-tooth replacement, an implant-supported crown gives you natural-feeling oral function. You also preserve the bone beneath your gums.
  • Implant Bridge - If you're missing multiple teeth in a row, an implant-supported bridge offers added strength and stability. Unlike traditional bridges, this option doesn't require altering natural teeth.
  • Full or Partial Dentures - Dentures can replace multiple missing teeth at once. They are custom-made for comfort and fit. Whether removable or implant-supported, they restore your confident smile.

We'll walk you through the next steps and explain all of your options. If you choose an implant restoration, we will refer you to a trusted local specialist. We'll complete the restoration right here in our office.

Call us at 770-525-9245 for an appointment. Your tooth removal in Marietta is really just the beginning of a healthier smile.

Read Why Our Patients Love Us

Jennifer was fantastic today. I had been neglectful with my dental hygiene. She had a lot of plaque to remove and she got it with a professional and gentle touch. Jennifer also took time to educate me on my future habits. Thanks Insight Dental!

From the receptionist at the front, Chloe, she’s always so patient with me to answer my insurance questions and get everybody scheduled. We absolutely love the dental hygienist and assistants- Jamie and Quitta are so fun and so patient with my kids. They’re very kind, friendly and professional. Dr. Johnson and Dr. Sheets are so kind, so professional and knowledgeable. We came from traumatic experiences at a prior dentist and they have been so good with each of my kids. I love that Dr. Johnson is airway focused, and supports expansion of the pallet and not just going straight to braces. We don’t use fluoride and they are supportive and never hassle us about it. Jamie the hygienist has even ordered us special toothpaste and polish without fluoride. I have four kids, three of them with Invisalign and we’ve had great success. My two-year-old was just seen today for his first happy gentle cleaning visit and the hygienist, Lasagna could not have been more perfect with him! Truly this is been the best dental experiences we have had over the last two years.

Hands down, the best customer service and expeditious appointments. I never wait. Jennifer did a great job on my cleaning. She was very knowledgeable of the trade and made suggestions for me to dry bush. Who would have ever thought but it makes since and should help between my cleanings.

Frequently Asked Questions About Tooth Removal

How much does a tooth removal cost?

When it comes to a tooth extraction, or any other type of oral surgery, each case is different. The cost will ultimately depend on which tooth needs removing as well as the overall condition of your mouth. We encourage you to come in for an exam and X-rays, so we can give you an accurate idea of the cost involved.

Does tooth removal hurt?

Your comfort is a high priority for us. We'll do all we can to make sure that your extraction is as comfortable as possible. We'll thoroughly numb the area around the tooth before doing any work. If you're nervous about your procedure, you can also opt for oral sedation we take care of your extraction.

Are tooth removals safe during pregnancy?

Tooth extractions during pregnancy are safe, although it's best to receive only local anesthesia. In addition, we use 3-D imaging that uses less radiation than traditional X-rays and helps us plan your procedure so that it is quick and comfortable. If possible, it's best to schedule a needed extraction during your second trimester.
